Debt to Wealth Specialist · Founder, Empowered Wealth Solutions
Your Debt-Free Date Exists.
Let's Find It.
There's a difference between someone who talks about financial freedom and someone who has actually pursued it — alongside a spouse, two children, a mortgage, and a full-time career built around serving others.
I am the second kind.
Long before I became a Debt-to-Wealth Specialist and founded Empowered Wealth Solutions, I dedicated 10 years as an educator in K-12 classrooms — teaching, mentoring, and pouring into students and families every single day. That work wasn't just a job. It was a calling.
Building on that foundation, I went on to serve as President of Interactive Learning, where I helped schools implement innovative technologies and leadership programs that empowered students to become confident, capable, and future-ready. Through curriculum development, professional training, and leadership education, I spent years teaching people how to create better outcomes by following proven processes.
Both experiences shaped everything about how I approach helping people today.
I learned early on that most people don't struggle because they lack intelligence or effort. They struggle because no one ever taught them what they needed to know. That's true in education. And it is absolutely true when it comes to money.
Like many families, my wife Crystal and I faced the realities of raising children, managing expenses, planning for the future, and trying to make wise financial decisions. We weren't looking for shortcuts—we were looking for a better system.
When we discovered a proven path that helped us gain control of our finances and create a clearer vision for our future, everything changed.
That experience ignited a new passion.
Today, I help individuals, families, and business owners create personalized strategies designed to reduce debt, build wealth, increase cash flow, and move toward financial independence.
At my core, I am still the same educator I have always been.
I believe people deserve clarity instead of confusion.
I believe financial education should be understandable, practical, and empowering.
And I believe that with the right guidance and a proven roadmap, ordinary families can achieve extraordinary financial outcomes.
Whether I'm speaking with a parent, a business owner, or someone simply looking for a better way forward, my goal remains the same as it was in the classroom years ago:
Help people discover what's possible and equip them with the tools to get there.
A few years ago, my wife and I signed a 30-year mortgage on our brand-new home. Good jobs. Nice house. Building a life together. By every measure, we were doing exactly what we were supposed to do.
But if you'd asked me one simple question — when will you be debt-free? — I would have had no answer. I couldn't tell you. Most people can't. We were moving forward every single month without any idea where we were actually going.
Sound familiar?
That's the trap most families find themselves in. Not because they're irresponsible. Not because they don't work hard. But because the financial system was never designed to show you the exit. A 30-year mortgage isn't a plan — it's a sentence.
Then we were introduced to the Financial GPS — and everything changed.
Not because we suddenly earned more money. Not because we found some secret investment hack. But because — for the first time — we had a map.
Using only the money we already had left over each month, the system showed us a clear path to pay off our mortgage, our loans, our credit cards — everything — in 15 years instead of 30. And it projected we'd save around $150,000 in interest that would have gone straight to the bank.
That number stopped me cold. $150,000. That's not money we'd need to earn. It was money we'd been quietly losing to the bank — month after month — with no plan to stop it.
I got so excited about what this could do for other families that I started sharing it. As we helped more and more people find their own debt-free date, that extra income helped us move our own plan from 15 years . Then we added wealth-building strategies where we could use the same dollar twice and our timeline is now projected as close as 7 years.
Same home. Same dream. Completely different outcome.
That experience rewired how I think about money — and it's why I do what I do today. I founded Empower Wealth Solutions because I believe every family deserves what Crystal and I found: not a budget, not a lecture, but a real, personalized roadmap to the life they actually want.
Projected interest saved — money that stays in our family.
Financial GPS introduced — map in hand. Without earning a dollar more.
Wealth-building added — projected path today.
My Christian faith is not separate from my work — it is the foundation of it.
My mission is simple: to give every family the financial roadmap they were never given. To be the person I once needed — someone who shows up, tells the truth, explains things clearly, and stays with you for the entire journey.
Every family I work with receives a strategy built entirely around their income, their debts, and their goals — not a template pulled from a shelf. No two plans look the same.
Great teachers don't shame students for not knowing something yet. I bring that same principle into every financial conversation — wherever you're starting from is exactly the right place to begin.
Great teachers don't disappear after the lesson. I walk alongside the families I work with — checking in, adjusting the plan as life evolves, and celebrating every milestone along the way. The relationship doesn't end at our first conversation. That's where it begins.
